A New Piece of Music.

Here is a new piece of music called "Ye Servants of God". It has soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts. I've included a video to let you hear the melody. We'll get a chance to try this piece of music in the new year. I'll send a copy of the music via email and print off copies to be distributed at the next music class.

This is the music book currently being used by the SLR Recorder Ensemble. It can be purchased for soprano and alto recorder instruction (tenor recorders can use the soprano book). Susan, Jean and I had a chance to visit with David, at Parkwood, on Dec 22, 2012. We played all the pieces performed at the Christmas luncheon a few weeks ago. Although a bit rusty, we played with gusto and had a lot of fun. David and Shanti said they enjoyed it; a change from the usual type of visit. David will be at Parkwood over Christmas, on 4th floor. Merry Christmas David and Shanti! And Merry Christmas to the SLR Recorder Ensemble members too!

We'll be getting together Jan 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm, at St. Jude's, for the next music class. Dates for future meetings will be set then. Have a great holiday everyone!

Merry Christmas:
The recorder group had a chance to play some music at the Christmas Luncheon for "The Society for Learning in Retirement". We had a great time! Thanks for the support Tom. You were missed David.
